Is this how it works? There is only one water source into the house that feeds both cold and hot sides and it can't flow backward to the street. So when the pump turns on it does 2 things, pulls from hot side and pushes to the cold side. The water heater would then pull in the water that comes from the pressure on the cold side. Would this be a way to prevent freezing pipes ?
In the UK this would be against the regs. We have specific backflow prevention meaning you cant let water go back to the through the mains water.
Idiot homeowner should have installed a recirculation circuit with pump, so you get instant hot – that's the way ballerz like myself did it when we built.
What's the cost ?
What recirculator dis u instal in this video?? I need the info asap
So no more drinking tap water unless you want to drink water that has been circulated through your water heater? No thanks. We love our fresh tap water here in the PNW.
Screw this. I'm just gonna go Tony Robins style, and go for cold showers. I heard it's good for you.
I just clicked to ask: is there a cold water recirculating pump??? Please stop calling them hot water heaters & hot water recirculating pumps
Probably not likely to get answered, but the link to the pump he installed (would work great for my purposes) just goes to amazon general search for recirculating pumps, not the specific one he installed. 🙁
Anyone have a link or know what brand/model he actually installed?
Thanks,

If only the Builders would centralize the hot water heater. But of course, that' s too hard for the Architects.
