I show the steps to replace the wax ring on a toilet with a non wax toilet gasket.

In this project I share a couple troubleshooting tips and the steps to fix a leaking toilet.

I have been using the Sani Seal toilet gasket and really like the features. It will spring back if you have to reseat the toilet, it has a lifetime warranty, it will fit a wide range of toilet flanges, it will move with a toilet if it rocks slightly and it fits non level drains. I have never had a leak with this style gasket.

  1. Thanks, for this tutorial!! Wax should have been DC'd decades ago…..although an overall redesign of the whole "toilet"/WC conception is a century overdue: Why a heavy, fragile material like the ceramic WCs are made from? Why the janky, flush valve? Why still a stupid lid….? Why, at least, not generalized variable, flush volumes……ET AL.?

Mostly the answers lie in "fastidiousness"??? about the disposal of "human waste"?!!?!

  2. Great video! I would add if you think (or dont know) if it's a wax ring under toilet, the bottom of toilet will have sticky wax stuck on bottom of toilet. Setting toilet upright on floor will smear wax on floor adding to clean up. Empty tank and bowl to remove toilet so you can set it on its side. Scoop out water, then use towel to absorb remaining water. Have fun!
