Don't know why builder design this way at beginning.i have same situation with one room
I would have not put a center light in without supports. The next people might just try to put a fan in and cause a lot of issues. i would have just used thin wafer lights and put 4 of them in the corners or two in. That way it gets more light and no one would think its a supported light.
Wouldn't it have been easier to go to the switch box and just change the switched outlet wires to constant and the new wire to the switch??
The easiest of all electric work
As you tested the outlet, shouldn't it be verified that its polarity is not reversed?
Thanks. How to do the same if the 2 x 4 are horizontally on ceiling?
I wonder how much this would cost
Would you consider this a DIY situation or should I hire a professional? I’m pretty handy and am comfortable figuring out new things. I also have a understanding of basic wiring. I have installed light fixtures and outlets.
My lath and plaster walls just laughed at me
