This is something I never thought about as far as getting things ready for the winter.
It's something we think about up about here in new england.. I have even had one of my frost free valves freeze two years ago as it was super cold and windy for a lengthy time. Now I use a faucet sock just to ensure it doesn't freeze.
Where did you buy your faucet at please? Trying to look for those kind…thanks
Many thanks for the measurement guide at 0:46 onward because as a noob as myself, that information is therefore golden about measuring only between the mount and the bottom of the coupling which has already saved me a lot of time and headaches because I am off to Home Depot now to buy the exact length I will require to complete my task. I was looking online to find the proper length I require and I could not due to an extra inch . . . until I found this video which explains the measurement.
This is the true value of the Internet, and people for that matter, when it comes to sharing knowledge to teach others in order to help them with important tasks.
What's the process for installing the valve outside? Silicone only? Other adhesives?
Thank you! This was the only video that showed what to do with the rubber flange – duh! of course its to angle it down.
