I was attempting to remove old wallpaper in an older home, there was layers of it, & impossible to remove. I have a lot of experience with wallpaper but that was very stubborn. I finally just put new sheet rock over it.

I have, by need for an easier way, found some trick. I use the fabric softener but I actually heat my solution before I start each time. Have a pot on the stove to heat solution when I need to. I did not score-just pulled down the top paper and then started on the adhesive layer. I also found that the longer I let the solution sit, the more I could remove easier. They say 2-3 minutes-I go a minimum of 5. Think the main thing is heat-either in the solution or the water you are removing residue with.

So basically all the pain to put it on and then after 20 years, all more paint to take it off?
This is awful. The only people who know that this video is a joke are people who have done it before. I feel sorry for the 30 year old woman who just bought her first house and is about to try removing that old paper based on this video.
Does it have to be oil based primer?
