🔴 Holy!*! Welding Table!
I drilled a ton of holes in the top of my welding table. I used my new magnetic drill from Evolution Tools. The holes will allow me to use various stops and clamps.

That looks Awesome.
You have a video making that table?
So this video i watched about a 9 months ago researching welding as it is a new hobby. I came back to it today because I remembered the MAG drill and I wanted to be sure my reason for investing was valid. Your work on your weld table was all I needed to justify the expense. Thanks !
No more new vids? ☺
Ya missed a hole!
Thank you for this video. I've always wanted the question answered as to why I see a lot of people with welding tables and holes in them. You gave great explanation and demonstration. You have gained a new follower on IG as well as new subscriber. Thank you again and I look forward to your videos. I am a graduated welder and looking to start up my own welding/ fab shop
Cool. I'm just leaning to weld now, and I just can't see the Ceti weld table price for my garage shop. I'll be doing something like this, but with thinner top metal.
Great idea with the angle iron. I'm getting ready to design a table and that same idea will be used. I knew I'd be using a mag drill because of how great they are.
Mag drills are game changers for some applications. Had this project to drill 2000 holes (12mm) in mild steel. We did it with two mag drills and only two annular cutters!! No pilot drill needed, not much of a burr, and nearly perfect round holes (regular drill bits make almost triangular holes, especially when hired workers power through the job). Those annular cutters show almost no wear after the project and I still use them. We did use a really thick, viscous cutting fluid. The same project, if done conventionally, would include the cost of pilot drill bits + regular drill bits + coolant + additional time for changing bits + more time for deburring (2x the time and 3x as expensive, not to mention finish and accuracy).
It'd be great if annular cutters came in smaller sizes and odd/tap-drill sizes. (M12 tap needs a 10.2mm – 10.8mm hole, annular cutters start at 12mm.)
