Tub To Shower Conversion / Cast Iron Bathtub Cutting Test
VanVleet Construction a Minneapolis, MN bathroom remodeling company testing reciprocating Sawzall blades on a cast iron bathtub removal. This is a test to see if a reciprocating saw blade can cut through a cast iron bathtub. We are replacing this bathtub with an Onyx Collection shower base and tiled walls. This is not an Onyx Collection shower installation video or a shower replacement video. We offer shower replacements in Minneapolis, Brooklyn Park, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Plymouth, Maple Grove, St. Paul and all surrounding communities. The purpose of this bathroom remodeling video is to show the use of a reciprocating saw while replacing a cast iron bathtub and the removal of a cast iron bathtub with a sledgehammer. This video was filmed at a bathroom remodeling project in St. Paul MN in January 2017.

You tore out beautiful white subway tile. What can possibly be nicer than that?

Could yu just cut the front part out lol
How about a circular saw with a good quality metal blade ? If anyone has used a Sid grinder or circular saw please let me know . I have to do this for my wife because of health reasons. Thanks in advance
Any updates on the best method? i'm about to attempt removing an outdated colored CI tub. thanks.
Man THANK YOU for this video! I was looking at a 300lb tub trying to figure out how to get it out of my house for a bit, then I found your video! I sledgehammered away and my boy and I had it outside in an hour. Thanks! I had no idea I could just hammer it to pieces. Learn a new trick every day!
