  1. Kristi… WOW!! How ironic that I was going through my pictures with my husband on my IPad to see our renovations pictures! We had a 24 foot long wall removed so we were wide open to the outdoors in our kitchen ! . We laughed at the pictures I took of the Chickadees that were in our Lilac tree almost in the kitchen…chirping away at us !

We also put the pine ceilings up. The ceiling had the drop down panels up ( not sure what they call them !! ) But the old 1888 ceilings were fine because they were covered… so up went the pine boards….quick, easy and beautiful!

What color did you paint your walls? I had shiplap installed in the whole downstairs and I want it white or very light gray. Did you say yours were gray? I can tell in the kitchen with the white trim… I love your home!

We also have the “not so lovely brick in the kitchen ( this is the house I grew up in, I moved back when both my parents had terminal cancer to care for them…and my father built this large kitchen. They installed a cooktop, inside barbecue, which turned out to be more mess than its worth, and a wall oven. So that whole area is faux brick…I am very sick of the brick color…i want it painted! ) You have given me , YES, great inspiration because I can see it in your home!

Once again…..”thank you” for sharing your home and decor ideas! A wonderful blessing to this old lady!
