My OCD was squirming when you didn't paint the chips on the tile edge bordering the hardwood. It would be so easy to stick a brush in there, and even wipe off any excess that gets on the hardwood before it dries. That said, thanks for making the vid, it's a great way to update old tile.
Hi! Thank you. How long before you can walk on it? Have a great day!
Hi.I have some horrible black and white kitchen floor ceramic tiles. Is is possible to paint over them? If so what kind of paint please?
Maybe ceramic is not the correct term for them but tough kitchen floor tiles.
Wow wonderful uploading good job
You know what bro? After watching your video, I'm gonna rent me a floor buffer with a black pad (highly abrasive), a pole sander that's used on drywall with some metal screens, and then a crapload of scotch-brite pads. Then I'mma physically remove the fine film that's applied to most types of floor tiles. Additionally, I will clean the floor surface with either a citrus cleaner or denatured alcohol to encourage a strong chemical bond between substrate and primer. I am considering using an epoxy-based colorant, as I have had excellent results with garage epoxy applications. In terms of durability, I do not believe there is a comparable product. As you said in your previous video, "preparation is everything". Hence, this will be my primary area of focus. That and pork rinds.
Really I'm sitting here with a canvas painting a murder scene inside of an apartment with Blood Stained tile floors and a coffee table thanks for the tutorial on how to paint tile floors the title should have been how to fuc up a house in 6 minutes and 35 seconds really dude who paints tile floors at that much less a white border over your freshly painted tile you think you're going to need another coat you might need 4 coats that shows ur knowledge in painting or tile literally anyone can do tutorials nowadays proof positive never step foot on a construction site in their life and watch V YouTube videos and suddenly there a Pro…and they believe the World is Flat…all in the same breath sorry bro you messed up my painting so I just had to tell you how ridiculous it is to paint tile floors are you going to go back and paint the grout lines to let me stop you know that make special paint for stamped concrete I would have used that and the Border wet saw then hammer drill the Border out and lay mosaic tile that paint will never hold on the floor
I'd go over it with acrylic floor poly… some are pretty expensive but you can get a gallon of satin at Home Dept for about $40
Great to see the follow up video – thanks for doing this!
Do u have to use primer before u paint the tiles
