is much easier and faster just to remove the vinyl. and if the subfloor is plywood add cement board.

Can we install ceramic tiles on top of tar or glue residue after removing the vinyl tile from a concrete floor.
I am avoiding cleaning it with chemicals so it will not affect the bonding of the thin set to the deface of the concrete floor.
What is the best way to deal with this
