There are certain items that I like to buy brand new, but on the whole I prefer second hand. You can pick up some really good quality furniture and put your own stamp on it xx
I've never really been a fan of pine but I think it's actually the varnish that puts me off. Seeing your furniture pieces sanded back has given me a new appreciation for pine. Love the Scandi vibes and that hint of colour on the chest of drawers.
Home improvement with second hand items is a big challenge – and you've very done well! There's nothing like solid wood and I prefer bright wood!
I'm not sure how big your wall space is in the kitchen but u could remove the glass and use chalk board paint and use as a huge chalk board for your meal prep. Hang it horizontal rather than verticle maybe x
This video has made me want to sand everything down. Last year I got a sideboard for 99p from eBay X
