We recently built out and installed a grey water system in Los Angeles.
By making some changes to previous sink and tub lines while separating the water from the sewer line, we’ve created a code compliant grey water system. The back flow valve we installed prevents any sewage backup from going into the grey water system.

What is the purpose of this system in your application. The water doesn't seem to be serving a purpose after it is released.
The purpose is for disposing grey water, not utilizing it for whatever reason. What purpose does the water serve in a normal public sewer system or private septic system? None. I love it, I will pair it with a nice compost toilet and be fully self reliant. Mad props great vid!
I want to reuse graywater – not blackwater! – in a very large commercial building to power a series of indoor small turbines to generate electricity before the water leaves the building. Is it OK/legal to separate blackwater and graywater within a large commercial building before they are ultimately recombined to the sewage plant?
