Fire Pit Welding Project: Pentagon Fire Ball – Part 1 | MIG Monday

►SUBSCRIBE for new videos every Monday and Friday: https://goo.gl/FRdNss
Fire pit season is upon us, which means it’s time to get a project series going. For the next three weeks, we will be releasing a series of videos on how to build a pentagonal fire pit (fire ball). This is a great project that incorporates plasma cutting and MIG welding. You could even do this with pulse TIG if you want to get some really nice looking stacked dimes for the seams. In this episode, we are going to show you how we cut the base and design the pit. In parts two and three, we will show you how to tack and weld the base and then how to weld the top and finish it off.

  1. I really wish the videos were labeled who is welding in the video, nothing against "Mr tig", but you make a much better teacher and are far more enjoyable to watch. Too many people on here seem to be making videos to feed their ego opposed to teaching anything. Learned a few new things and just enjoyed watching a lot of others, thanks Bob.

  2. any chance of getting some dimensions of the pentagons and hexagons? Just one side of each will do. Thanks in advance. Love YOUR videos, very educational for us newbies.

  3. CNC plasma machines do a “perfect job” but it takes the human touch away from the work. Punch some buttons and away we go, what about the guy with the skills to actually cut this stuff out?

  4. do you guys have any plans for these yet… I saw this was up two years ago and would of course like to get some drawings. Watching your videos over the past couple years has inspired me to buy a Hobart Handler welder and some power tools. Now I need a cool project to cut out and weld and with Oct just around the corner I thought I would make a Halloween one… sure would be nice in the cool autumn night air. sparusa1@gmail.com Doc
