The Aviation Snips I used are very old so I don’t know the exact ones I used, but these base ones should do the trick (the smaller the gauge, the thicker the material, so 22 gauge snips can cut sheet metal that has a thickness of 22 gauge or larger).

Screw Cap Cover (they come in different sizes so make sure you get one that corresponds to the size screw you use).

Thanks, that was interesting but this is a project where the piece you made isn't under any strain. Do you know if the adhesive you used is as strong as a weld? (I would expect not, frankly.)
