Loved the video but that music.
Either use a coarser sandpaper or a natural stripper, would have taken half the time and produced cleaner results. You also need to sand with the wood grain so you dont put swirls in the wood and ruin the grain. Regardless it's not a bad first try.
I cringed when you first started sanding and shouted "With the Grain".
You did a wonderful job darling for your first time. We live we learn all the time. Have a blessed week darling
Hi…new to this or not you did a great job!!! I'm just starting out doing this too. I'm not brave enough to make videos…I'm sure there would be pleanty of people out there to chastise me for my imperfections..lol…love it. I just bought two big pieces from offer up to finish for my parents…it's gonna be a huge job. Hope I don't overwhelm myself. But good will is a great place too. I need to stop by there sometime n see what they got. My teenage son worked there n told me they get lots of good stuff to refurnish. Anyway ..keep up the good work. Love it
I love it. You did a great job…
Don't let anyone stop you from posting this kind of video. I would rather see someone doing it who isn't an expert because then it makes it more realistic for me if I had never done it either. It's important to see a real person trying something, I think. It's nice if they have suggestions, of course, but there are fools everywhere who you should ignore, lol.
EDIT: Random orbital hand sander. That's my husband's 2 cents, he thinks it would be easier for the one part you were doing on the table. He said it would avoid swirls, or would help avoid them.
That's so cool. You have such a good eye for it. I dont see the potential. You could probably make good money redoing stuff like that.
I'm so glad you were learning as you went because all your tips definitely help me to know things!!
how do you sand in all the decorative areas?
