  1. Can I do this on a table that already has a shine finish or do I have to sand it? I just want to change a shiny maple finish to a dark top like the one you did here… Thanks!

  2. what do you use to seal the chalk paint job and how do you get the table top shiney? I have chalked painted the whole table in two tone i.e. the top is guillotine and and legs are cream. But I have brush marks on the top. How can i make it a super smooth? And do I use a lacquer to finish the project? Mel

  3. It seems like you didn’t sand the table, is that not necessary? I’ve seen videos where they sand then apply stain then sand again apply stain etc. What you did seems so simple that it’s hard to believe it doesn’t need any of that.
