This simple round DIY pedestal coffee table was made from a single table leg, a couple 2x4s and a couple 2x10s.
No complicated joinery techniques were required, but a little creativity came in handy when I realized the feet were too thick to cut out on my tiny band saw.
If you can cut, sand, and glue, you can build this table. And when you’re ready for your next project idea, head to woodshopdiaries.com to find more project inspiration and tutorials.

You are a good worker
What stain did you use, love the color
Great video, your presentation style is very refreshing and easy to follow. Another great piece of furniture!
Love the table it turned out great. I also love the building but hate the finishing. I went to spray finish with a polyurethane and there is literally a 10 to 15 minute dry time to sand between coats. It was a game changer for me . You can pick up an electric sprayer for about $70 dollars.
Thats a great build and a lot of work, or should I say fun. I have a couple live edge tops almost done and looking at single column pedestal styles. I suggest for you a 14" inch band saw would suffice. I bought mine used but a great upgrade. Mine without a riser is about 7" inch re-saw capacity so you dont have to cut your parts in half and re glue. Oh and the finishing part, I really don't like that either. I wish I had someone to finish most of my projects. It seems to take me just as long, or maybe longer to finish a piece than build it. Keep up the great projects!
loved the table!
!;-)
im concerned about the structural integrity of the pocket hole screws on the feet. Has the table stood up to any tipping?
Go racers!
Great job on the table it looks good, As for the bandsaw its hard to say which bandsaw not knowing your budget. it looks like you enjoy woodworking so you should go big on the bandsaw as it should last you a lifetime. I suggest the laguna 14-12 or the Rikon 10-326 but they are quite pricey. the grizzly basic 14 inch bandsaw is a good choice also but only has a 6 inch height capacity unless you buy the riser block. other tools you may also want to consider is a spindle sander, they are fairly inexpensive and are very useful, also down the road a router table with a lift would be a lot easier then hand routing, especially smaller items. You still need a handheld router for large projects. I like your urn project and I think I might build one for my moms ashes so thank you for the inspiration on that. keep having fun as thats what its all about!
