Hey! today im going to show you how to make a fire pit in your backyard

i bought a 44 gallon drum of facebook and decided to make a cheap backyard firepit out of it. its really easy and simple to do, its a great beginner welding project.

  1. Good job buddy.. if you can get ahold of a speed square and some magnets you'll have even more fun welding projects like this and many more.. great firepit.. I have 2 barrels and angle iron and 1" square tubing.. think Ima try my hand at this one myself.. thanks for sharing your project with us buddy

  2. Drill a few holes in the bottom to drain out water or flip it over when not in use. You could make grated cover using flat bar and expanded metal get the flat type just a thought . Cheers

  3. Looks great! But just a tip, when welding make sure to wear long sleeves cloth clothes, jeans, hide the laces in your boots, and keep wood, or other flammable materials away. I am a welding student but the welds looks great for someone who doesn’t weld all the time! Keep up the good work.

  4. When welding if it sounds like bacon cooking your in there and should be a a pretty decent setting it will vary tho the thicker of the steel that you go but just try to remember if it sounds like bacon your good lol
