Custom Kitchen Remodel Replacing a Shower Valve 5
Taking advantage of having the walls open by replacing the shower valve. Would have been a nightmare to do with the walls in place.

That was the first delve into plastic piping it works just hard to modify. Everywhere in the house will have copper stub outs with the gray plastic feeding it. When the plumber did my families house it was the new thing it took the plumber half the time over copper and it was cheaper.

I love my Acety , I can Braze up to 1 1/8" Copper , pull out the Oxy/Acety for the Quickness and Tight Spots !!!

Why not a Kholer shower valve they are made of ceramic looks more durable ?

Hmmn, I think I just learned why my soldering sucks, lol. that was a nice looking assembly you put together there, its almost a shame it had to be covered up! I really enjoy watching your videos and the pride you take in your work…its a rare thing these days.
I'll tell you what, I used to have improper techniques and had nothing but issues. My good friend Big Mike showed me the light and my world of sweating pipes has never been the same. haha. I am glad you are enjoying my videos, My Dad was an old world craftsman and everything he did was done with pride in workmanship and detail. I will admit as a kid I didn't have his patience and just wanted to get things done, but It is something that has always stuck with me. Thanks for watching!
