!!!Poinsettias are poisonous to dogs if they eat them, so be careful if you are a pet owner!!!
im not sure about cats or other animals, but its possible they cant eat them too so look it up. this is coming from someone who sold poinsettias for a fundraiser for years and has always owned a dog. we always buy some too so you can have them if you own dogs, just make sure they are kept high up, and if the leaves fall off that they will not fall on the floor or anywhere in your dog’s reach
i love it when people gift plants! my sister’s best friend propagated a jade plant and gave it to me after it grew a decent bit and looked healthy. now its my fastest grower out of my 2 plants. i also have a cactus but because it doesnt get high light (i keep it by my window but im in a dorm that is south facing) it doesnt grow as much.
i really want to get into growing flowering plants tho! im someone who is super into florals and cottagecore aesthetic— i have floral masks and my room at my parents house is themed on florals. this video was very helpful for a starting place on my research towards a flowering plant, so im definitely saving it
