I forgot to mention in the video that the cut in the doorway is 1/4″ back from the interior wall stud edge so that the bathroom floor tile and the hallway hardwood will meet right under the door. Also, I did not have an oscillating tool at the time to finish off the cuts in the corners.

Great job, very impressive for your first time – you're a natural 🙂
Thanks a lot for the video hoopfan71! I was trying to figure out which tool I need to cut flush against a wall/structure and your great video gave me the answer. I never knew about the toe kick saw. Going to pick one up ASAP! Thanks so much and looking forward to more of your videos! 🙂
Did you put cement board on top of the 3/4 plywood. ??
Also called a flush cut saw. I'm having to to the exact same thing in a condo.
Haven't reviewed all the comments yet. Possibly an Oscillating Saw from Harbor Freight would work great for the last couple inches to the corner. I already have that saw. Now I need the one you demonstrated so I can remove some Master Bedroom sub floor. We have a terrible squeak. I discovered that the edge of the sub floor along a long wall is nailed to nothing, Nada, zero. I will have to make the necessary repairs and then reinstall the sub floor. Your video was very helpful.
im literally doing the exact same project. i tried to get around replacing floor but I know ill regret cutting corners down the road.
I made the mistake of going backwards. The handle to a chunk out of my shin through my jeans!
Yes! I need to cut out my subfloor to frame a recessed floor for a shower pan. Harbor Freight to the rescue!
Does the toe kick saw have an adjustable height for the blade to compensate for subfloor thickness? Thanks for the video!
