  1. If you want the art object at 45 deg, can't you just use the Pythagorean theorem ? You could measure the part, square it, divide it by two, and then take the square root to find the length of each leg.

  4. I have made bookends from rocks by cutting them with a diamond blade and polishing them , your way of using tools is a great idea lam going to start looking around for tools to give it a try. Keep the spark bright
