  1. Hi Erikka, I just completed my first course and really liked it. “How to design your dream kitchen” How do I receive the certificate you mentioned? Thank you!

  2. Gentle advice: What comes first? Safety FIRST ! In all of your nice new kitchen designs, I am not seeing fire suppression equipment, even hidden/toni fire suppression designs. Kitchens, since 7,ooo years ago have always been places where heat cooks food. Along with this comes the risk of fire and serious injuries or death. Please incorporate FIRE EXTINGUISHERS stored at least 8 feet away from your stove. You do not want to be battling flames to get at a fire extinguisher stored near the primary fire threat. Also, with your family, practice a fire drill, take it seriously and have fire extinguishers throughout your home. Outside, have a gathering place, with a phone line or emergency cell phones present, and perhaps, a shed containing emergency blankets, first aid kit, cell phones, flash lights and some canned food. Be safe from real threats!

  3. Fire suppression story: Two True Stories. My sister's Connecticut next door neighbor, left a pot on the stove on low/med heat. She drove to the store, only intending to be away 20 min. Five minutes after she left, the kitchen was engulfed in flames and the whole house burned to the ground in 30 min. She returned from the store to find fire trucks and a smoldering pile of wood and ash. 2. My next door neighbor, across the street, from my Condo had their beautiful beach condo, 3 story, 3 BR 2 Bath, burn to the foundation due to an electrical fire. The building was only 20 years old. The moral of the story is that fire is REAL and can hit very very close to home and that in any kitchen design, or place you live, please factor in SAFETY in FIRE Suppression and FIRE DRILLS.
