In our 2nd bathroom remodel/renovation video we noise proof our bathroom and quiet noisy pipes. We show useful tips on how to accomplish this with restrapping pipes, insulating pipes, and insulating around the bathtub. This is all part of the prep work before we tile our bathroom shower.

I don't guess that securing the piping will create a problem with heat expansion. To answer my own question, the water isn't over 212 so…

Did all that sound insulation work? did you check the decibel levels before and after?
So you are doing all of that but not putting air chambers on???
Plus. The more direct contact with water pipe to wood the more noise.
Baby powder helps take off the fibers
I think putting a vapor barrier in an interior room will lead to mold issues.
did it make a difference? My bathroom next to my office is so loud it sounds like my kids are firing up a monster truck when the shower turns on. It's just sooo loud
You can put caulking in the hole were the pipe goes through 2×4 and you don't need brackets
And you can use spray foam around pipes
I’d say you definitely tightened things up, but as far as soundproofing? Not so much.
