This is just 1 part from a series of video’s of the process for remodeling a full bathroom and small half bathroom. Demo floor and shower tile. Install concrete backer board. Install shower tile and grout. Install floor tile and tile baseboard. Plumbing. Redo plumbing and install a new shower and sink faucet.
I filmed this the only way i could … as someone who has never done it before. We made mistakes as we went along but overall it turned out great. We are very happy with the result and saved a lot of money doing it by ourselves.
Hopefully you learn something by watching these series of video’s. Let me know anything i missed, the many things we got wrong, and something you recommend to make remodeling your bathroom easier.

he goes to all this work…just to re-do it the same exact way it originally was….but with different colored tile…..wtf is wrong with you guy
Great effort but I have decided now that I will simply purchase prefab tile "walls" and just secure them to the walls, calk and done.
did you know the wetsaw blade cant cut you when theres water on it

Should have had your friend come and help you, so that the tub was level. One thing I cannot stand is anything unleveled, especially something to that degree.
Those spacers are a lot easier to use if you lay them on their sides, but the rubber ones can vary substantially in thickness within the same bag. The hard plastic ones are better in this regard. One of the things I am seeing here, is he got a lot of bad advice, and needed a lot more good advice. Go watch Sal Diblasi, then – as someone else mentioned – go to the John Bridge forum and post your plans there. Then go to an actual tile store to buy your tile and supplies. I reputable store will give you good advice worth much more than the higher price you’ll pay there.
