Better use liquid detergant
The way i put the detergant is by adding detergant directly before closing the lid.. U can just estimate rougly how much according to the size of ur clothes.. So that way no need to open the lid 2x.. Usually i put only half of liquid detergant.. After it is finished, u can check and smell ur clothes either suits u or not..

Does it dry clothes after washing as well?
Never mention water how many liter should fill it up.Last how water drain.
