How to Weld Without a Welding Table. Fixture Like This To Make It Flat
Great welding tips. If you don’t have a flat surface to start your project from then I can help. In this video I go through the necessary steps to reduce error in creating a flat surface. I use a three point system to work off a un even floor. My design of squares takes care of all three points without you having to do anything. WoW I wish I seen that tool before building my welding table I had the hardest time getting my legs on my table all the same. I finally got it done I would like to have that tool for future project's I know this table I just built won't be my last work table I can always build a better one. All the steel I used was FREE just one catch I had to grind all the rust off of it to paint it. I could have left the Orenge rust look and just grinded down where it was going to be welded now that I think back because that's what took so long was to grind grind grind and that takes a long time than just to buy already clean steel and cut it down to size.

Great clamps. That will mean you can use different rhs. I plan on making a small dismantable work table. I have some 3mm/ 65/35mm rhs. And plan on using 50mm shs. This clamp will work fine for say clamping flush on one side and overlapp on the other. On second thoughts perhaps it's not such a good idea and keep equalatural. I plan to weld plates on the end of the rhs, drill holes
And tap a few threads to bolt into other welded frames like the one you welded.
I have square clamps. You slide the desired pieces in and then clamp tight to weld. Getting sides to weld into frames always seem to take me a considerable time before I can even start welding. I made a 2.7metre long work bench and that took many clamps and bits of pieces off cuts to true up. I was
Too hesitant on one piece which was 1mm too long.
I forced in and it pushed the top out 1.5 mm. So I grinded off and it levelled. However, welding back on it pushed it out again.
Cannot force pieces in what I learned.
