Another helpful video thanks.Is the plaster usually that bad when you remove old tiles or is it often ok to tile on without skimming. I'm hoping mines ok when I start next week.
Hi….great set of vids. I've just started replacing a bathroom and have removed the tiles which must have been on for 25+ years. In doing so, I've damaged the plasterboard backing in some places (mostly where various fittings have been screwed into the walls). Also, there's lots of old cement left on the walls. I don't really want to replace all the plasterboard, so what's the best way of repairing the damage and removing the old cement? Many thanks in advance….
My bathroom wall doesn't look too dissimilar except I can't see the actual brickwork. I'm thinking of removing the old tile adhesive, then fixing plasterboard panels and tiling on that… would that be ok?
Removing tiles in Indian bathrooms are not this easy. They use cement like substance or may be cement to stick tiles to the wall. Do you have any idea for that??? I am tired of hitting my tiles.
Screwdriver ? 1) use the correct tool for the job (eg masonry chisel), 2) you gonna wreck the head of your screwdriver.
If you were doing this for a customer how would you price something like this at the start cause you never no what’s behind the tiles your removing

I have a tiled upstand about 4 inches up the dot dab plasterboard wall, problem is due condensation or maybe a leak the plaster deteriorated, i’ve cut some board away from above the up stand but the board behind the upstand is mouldy, anyway to remove the tile from the plasterboard without damaging the tile?
Thanks for the videos. I am learning a lot. What causes the plaster to crack like that, a leak within the wall? Had some fresh plaster installed a few days ago where the old tiles were pulled out. It seems dry but i notice some of it seems cracked. Should I be worried? Also is it ok to run an air conditioner or heater in this room while the plaster cures?
Excellent video once again! I find a large old broad edged (blunt ) wood chisel does an excellent job as it spreads the pressure a bit more
