How to Make a Desk with Hidden Wireless Charging

I partnered with Minwax and Lincoln Electric to build a desk with hidden wireless charging. I used woodworking and metalworking on this project with a walnut top and a tube steel welded base. This modern industrial computer desk has a nice simple desk feel but with tons of character including a copper metal bowtie inlay. #wirelesscharging

  1. that tape trick only works if it is on the side the teeth are ripping out of, so you would want it on the same side as your saw.. even then, it doesn't really work.

  2. Magnets work but you got to remember that metal likes to shrink. So just make sure your s*** is flush and all squared off then you can start tacking it all up. A little welders trick is if you're going to weld a 90° angle you should place the angle at around a hundred degrees so then when it shrinks up it will pull back to a 90 degree angle and then you could fine-tune it before you lay your second pass down
