Holy fuck. Stop right there.
This guy said to take down the crown molding!!
GTFOH! Absolutely never will I be taking down a customers crown molding. Painted, caulked, sanded, nail holes filled and risk breaking it – are you fucking mad? Lmao never.
Holes in the floor joists should be in the center 1/3 of the joist and you should try to get the hole in the center 1/3 of the span.
Unless the home owner agrees for you to cut ceiling and sheetrocker will make repairs DON'T DO IT.
nice video
Hey its Al Pacino
How do you access the wiring from the attic, if your not in the attic, and can't see? Is there wiring at every beam?
Way more work than necessary. It's easier to pull carpet on floor above and cut through and patch subfloor. Also if you HAVE to go through the drywall… you dont need to go in to every joist. You can put an access at every other joist and fish them through, just simply turn the drill around and hit both joists from one hole
Nice video
Great video! But what to do with the original junction box for light fixture in middle of ceiling? Just cover it up with a plastic plate?
How would you go about adding lights in the living room if there's a bedroom right above it?
