2. Set the whole-house dehumidifier in the metal pan.
3. Cut a square hole in the hallway ceiling and install a new return-air grille.
4. Attach a flexible return-air duct to the port on the end of the dehumidifier.
5. Secure the duct to the roof framing with plastic straps.
6. Cut the duct to length, then attach it to the return-air grille installed in Step 3.

You realize you live in New Orleans?
Really, why would you say such a thing? This video includes both condensation and condescending elements.
Why live in new Orleans. The place is a dump.
I'm buying a house with a crawl space in western North Carolina. The crawl space has a small moisture issue and not sure how to fix this issue.
Does the air handler kick on when the dehumidifier is running to help distribute the dry air throughout the house or is the fan in the dehumidifier strong enough to push the air through? Also, if the A/C is running at the same time as the dehumidifier, aren't we adding warm air to the supply side?
3:00 does it really take that long to empty a bucket? That should only take a minute per dehumidifier. This is a nice system though.
You ever look at these absurdly massive handler systems and think, “there’s got to be a better way…”
Start at 35%?!? That’s way low. ASHRAE comfort window is 40-60%. The lower it’s set the more that thing will run, costing you money and reducing its life. Set it at 60% and bump down until you’re comfortable.
Is there an internal damper in the dehumidifier to prevent the air balance from getting out of whack when the system pushes conditioned air back into the dehumidifier when the dehumidifier is off?
Helpful video but Instruments definitely don’t like being dry
