  1. This was definitely take two or three. You can see where they had to remove the wax from the flange and BS plastic piece. I bet Kevin screwed up take one…..LOL

  2. 1.The bend is just ridiculous and will continually block up.
    2. Plasterboard isn't even waterproofed and probably the floor tiles are just sitting on plain osb or chipboard!

  3. If you had your choice, which Country would the USA copy? Which country do you think is better than the USA, is it China or Russia or India or . . . ?

  4. It would be cool if all of these short clips had their own channel called either "Ask This Old House, This Old House – Quick Clips"? This would be for any of the different types of shows that you produce and if it is a short clip like what you have here? This way it would be in one place and it won't be mixed up with your full episodes. Whenever someone is looking for a short episode they can go to one place and see what they want but when they want to see full episodes they can go to one place for it as well? If it's set up right it would be nice to have the ability to type in YouTube search either Ask This Old House, Toilet Long and you would get episodes that have those keywords in it and it would be a full episode or you could type in the search Ask This Old House Short and only get short clips?

  5. Real hack job drilling the holes through the tile as evidenced by only one of the screws going in straight. The screws were also to small in diameter for the holes in the flange. Who installs a toilet before the walls are painted?!!!!

  6. Why didn't they pain or tile the wall first before the toilet was installed? After it was installed, there was no room to do either behind the toilet.

  7. Please don’t use a plumber that uses shark bites use a compression valve. And why in the world are they setting that toilet before paint or anything?

  8. I’ve installed two of those types of toilets in the last month. They’re super weird and aren’t the standard install. Not sure how easily they’ll clog. I’d stick to the conventional ones. Easier to install and waste goes straight down.

  10. Should have mentioned the adapter is used for Kohler skirted toilets where the traditional closet bolt configuration is not visible
. Waste doesn't drop straight down and is redirected through the adapter and I am pretty sure that the extra travel will eventually cause problems.
