  1. That recirculating pump will not work with heat traps. you must remove them first then install some 3/4 brass nipples to hook it up. If it has internal heat traps you are screwed.

  2. I connected the pump a day before I installed the little circulating piece. Do you think I did any damage to the pump considering the water wasn't circulating through the pipes?

  3. Um… you don't need teflon tape on those compression fittings my man… also when you use teflon tape don't have it all the way out to the end of the threads.

  4. I may be having a physics fart, but won't this connection pump hot water through your cold water line, giving you the opposite problem of what you started with?
