How to Grow Pineapples at Home Fast n Easy
Rooting and growing pineapple tops is easy. Once you bring your pineapple home, cut off the leafy top about half an inch below the leaves. Then remove some of the lowest leaves. Trim off the outer portion of the pineapple top at the bottom of the crown, or stem, until you see root buds. These should resemble small, brown-colored bumps around the stem’s perimeter. Allow the pineapple top to dry for 2-3 days prior to planting. This helps the top to heal, discouraging problems with rotting.
Daizz’s tips:-

Nice
Indian gurus strike again, thank you, teacher.
Great video! Please tell me what is the name of the variegated (green/yellow) to the right?
How do you know when the pineapple is ready?
I have removed the crown from pineapple..how much days should I wait to put it in water or shall I place it right away?
Yellow
Yellow pines taste better than green ones bc the sugar developed. Waiting for it to turn bronze is even better as it has a bit of an alcohol taste.
I live in Gainesville Florida so our winters are tough on pines. I built a green house and grow my pines in 7 gallon cloth pots. Twice a month, I heavily flood them with water. I also spray them once in a while with rain water. I have tied to grow from seeds but they are hard to find. Let them ripen on the plant to a bronze color half way up. Green -> Yellow-> 1/2 Bronze for best taste.
