  1. I have a question: a problem and tip on solution. I live on the upstairs floor in apt. Building.
I have squeaky floors, worst in certain areas. I have carpet and the wood underneath is very old and they refuse to do anything, make changes because it’s expensive and not life or death situation. I have picture of how old and bad the wood underneath is. Night person so neighbors below complain. What can I do?

  2. I would have added a vent up off the house trap on the house side of the cleanout. If the house still drains that'll fix the venting problem until the homeowner is willing or able to dig the building sewer. On older houses it's just not worth the dig cost in my opinion.

  3. QUESTION!–could this old U SHAPE BE FIXED BY?GET RID OF BASEMENT TOILET.WHAT BASEMENT TOILET NEEDS,GET A "toilet higher,"another, above level,SEAL OFF ALL LOWER PIPES–redo high level pipes, above,to sewer system.HOWEVER it needs to be done, cut off all lower pipe system.its too expensive, ect ect–divert to simple pipes at higher level.ok,not work?but avoids THOUSANDS OF $$$$$.comments?ok,am not professional, just "hacking",thanx! 😉
