This is the insturctional video on how to build your own charcoal chimney for free with stuff you most likely have around your house and simple tools. Look for Part 2 on how to light it in my other videos.
Parts Needed to build chimney:
1 Paint or Coffee Can (used or new, just clean a used one)
1 or 2 Coat Hangers
Tools Needed:
Screwdriver
Can Opener
Pliers
Wire Cutters
Drill With Stepdown Bit
This is the greatest accessory for BBQ period, don’t pay 20 bucks when you can build this for FREE

Where did you get one for 5 dollars, I payed 10 for mine today.
I would not cut the bottom, instead drill lots of holes at it and call it done. That'll be instant charcoal holder. You just need to sit the chimney on circle rocks formation so the fire starter can burn from the below.
why not reuse the can lid? drill some holes and secure it inside the can with a few screws to sit your charcoal on
Why not make it the other way round so you could make use of the handle to carry it?

Great Idea for a dyi charcoal starter. I'm surprise you didn't use the cut out bottom, drill some holes in it and use some bolt or screws to hold it place.
Where is the handle and how do you pick up the can once the charcoal are red hot?
