Super video, Greg. I did that sort of design on an addition when the municipality in Ontario refused a minor variance all because of 2" on a weird-shaped rear lot. Those sort of variances are usually granted by rubber stamp. We conformed to the bylaw by doing a 45 degree angle, and maintaining the 5 foot setback by following the lot line. It actually worked out very well.
