Wanna have one built in Slab City. I wonder how much that would cost.
Only problem is using cement with adobe is the different thermal and condensation rates of the material that will produce water damage at the joints, over time weakening those areas.

If we try this it will be in Mexico and there are no codes in the area where we will be ( San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas Mexico ).
We always liked the idea of building a cob house but this makes more sense.

The woman speaker in the vid said air conditioning was not necessary with these thermal walls, or just reduced a/c?? Would the same be true for heat?? The masonry is labor intensive but looks sturdy and is aesthetically in harmony with the New Mexico soils and landscapes. Nice vid and clear instruction. One question, though, what kind of foundation do the walls sit on?? Custom footings per code?? A slab??
Sor which are better burnt mud bricks or adobe bricks.
