How to build a Waste oil Burner for heating, scrapping or aluminium melting
Building a simple Waste oil Burner to run on used Vegetable WVO or motor oil. Please like, share and see the other vids on my channel.
This video shows step by step how easy it is to construct a waste oil burner capable of Burning any flammable liquid. For the safety zealots and assorted whingers, this is a vid on how to build a waste oil burner, not how to weld or use the tools. Please only comment on this if you have a vid of your own to demonstrate how you do things different.
The burner is made from an old fire extinguisher bottle and some old exhaust pipe. The waste oil inlet was a bit of metal fuel line I hacked out of a scrap car body. The burner as shown is simply 2 holes cut in the bottle and the 2 pieces of exhaust cut and welded in. a hole is drilled in the inlet pipe and the metal fuel line is inserted and the oil is simply blown in with the air.
The dimensions of the individual components are unimportant as the design is very tolerant. All that neds to be borne in mind is there needs to be some swirling of the air inside of the burner and to pre heat it.

Are you welding without a mask, trying to go blind?
such a boring voice
Yeah umm i was expecting a heater not a blow torch but thats amazing thanks for sharing.
Man I wish every instructional video had you narrating it! Cool accent
I've been experimenting with just free . "Fittings" etc. I have laying around, but my ball valve never really was good at allowing a " gravity fed Pencil Lead" stream, it always seems to need adjustment, and the hairdryer for a blower seems to be enough to heat up my stove, – However when I used compressed air, for the blower, it worked 100% better than the hairdryer. "Anywho" just wanted to say "AWESOME VIDS" – (I've been straining the oil, i add about 10 -15% diesel to the oil to thin it out, it's runny, no lumps, ) but changing the drip valve…to hopefully make a difference.
Long-time since I have seen your channel, damn youtube!. Anyways, I have a weird question for the use of an oil burner?. Ok, here goes, could an oil burner like yours be used to heat a 7X3 meter 1.5 M deep inground swimming pool?. My old lady (Mum) has to exercise in our pool, she has breathing issues and in cool water is not ideal.
so why not learn and build it myself, our pool needs to be just a little warmer during Spring, Autumn. Since I cannot afford a gas or electric or solar heater, ill just build her a system by being innovative myself. Crazy right?. I just need to know if theoretically your burner is used for the intended goal of heating a swimming pool. So if somehow I could build an oil burner, Reservoir for the pool water heater for less than AUD$800 and achieve a perhaps 5-10 C increase in the pool. For now its Summer, I'm sure some hard yakka on my part and awesome internet thoughts too, I can get it done. Thanks.
You need just a little more wire speed for that arc
Hi..I've got a 15kg gas bottle…so it's 2x bigger than your fire extinguisher..do you think this is too big…or..?
Nice size drum for a little heater. I'm looking for a slightly bigger one to weld up with my powerarc.
It is extrimely dangerous
