The shower door in this video has two components: the door that swings into the shower and the fixed panel that stays stationary.
Glass doors should not be templated and ordered until after all the tile is installed.
Also, installation of glass doors begins with framing. All framing should be plumb and even, as this directly impacts the backer boards and tile.
Finally, order all the accessories for the door before ordering it. That way the location for handles, hinges, and support arms can be accurately assessed on the template documents.

How can walls be flat? lol
I Always add 2X4 blocking where the door hinges will be installed
Working on a shower with almost exact dimensions, but I think I’m going with a single rectangular piece to the right of the door. No overhang on seat, flush to glass with a tight silicone seal. Outside face of bench can be decorative (will never see water or contact). Too much room for fatal error with the template, otherwise.
I’m wondering how many Glaziers are watching what not to do when installing a glass shower door.
How is stationary glass panel fastened to the floor. Im going to do a curbless shower. I really don’t want to drill into my tile floor after making it all waterproof? Can the glass just be glued in place with silicon?
How do you ensure the integrity of the wedi board when drilling through it?
Hello, just had a my old glass shower enclosure replaced. The new shower is frameless. The installer pointed out that because of the irregular shape of the shower, he could not get the glass door to precisely meet the glass panel next to it, so there is like a 1/4 inch gap between the door and fixed glass panel. How much space between the door and panel is recommended so that water won't leak out? (I forgot to ask and can't try out the showerfor a day or two.) Thanks!
Also protect glass with "Shower Guard FUSION 5" or limescale will "eat" glass in weeks.
how do you install the door actually onto the latches tho?
