Building A Modern Industrial TV Stand

Metalworking and welding is something I am super passionate about. I find it to be extremely fulfilling, beautiful in how it looks, and its also much faster than traditional woodworking for furniture. So when my good buddy Ramy, asked me for some advice for his obnoxiously large TV he recently build, I knew I was going to be thinking something metal. He couldnt find anything online so I gave in and made him this one.

This build features not only some hilarious comedy…… IMO. But it also is packed with metalworking tips and ideas that I use all the time and will be teaching at my course at this years SPRING MAKE. 1. Hey John I’m in a ROP welding class at my high school and I was wondering if you have any blueprints or plans for this build. If you did I would love and try to see if I can build it myself. If not sorry for bothering and have a good day.

  2. I got a similar industrial metal tv stand 70 inch that i purchased from wayfair from $800 was on sale typically these stands sells over $2000 grand

  3. i thought it was wood in the opening segment, in the end you could see how it got that way but all metal might be poor on acoustics from the TV (depends on the TV speaker orientation, down firing could cause drumming on the metal, wood is more forgiving on that), looks great tho. Must have taken a long time to do all that welding. Wish i could weld 🙁 you are lucky to have this great array of tools and workshop facilities to use to create these great projects
