If you’re looking for a video about green board or a drywall that has a green paper backing over it and you’re planning on using it as a tile backing for a bathtub or shower, then you are exactly the person I made this video for. I’ve had a lot of problems with this product and at the same time have seen it last for quite some time, but I really don’t recommend do-it-yourselfers using it, without watching this video first. 1. wow what an idiot who used green board for a shower. cement board like durock is what you are supposed to use for showers. green board is good for bathroom ceilings and bathroom walls not for showers!

  2. Question. I'm replacing the bottom row of tiles (4"x4") in a small shower. My landlord hired some handypeople (who she later fired, which is why I am finishing the job) who started. They put a strip of green board which I assume were planning on tiling over. My question is, do I pull out the green board and cut a few ~6" strips of cement board? Or do I go with it and use water proofing paint on solution/plastic flashing? The green board does not go all the way down to the shower basin nor all the way up to the tiles above it. Probably 1/4 – 1/2" gap on either side. Any advice is appreciated and thank you!

  3. my shower white tiles start faking & does not look nice.
I need professional reasonable guy who can plaster & refacing the shower floor.
not sure should I replace the chiped tiles or Plaster takes care of the job.
    thank you,
    Audrey

  4. Im renting a house but I sit on the shower floor to shave my legs. One daythe wall behind me pushed in a little. Oops. Im not sure how though. Im only 120 pounds. I beleive maybe this is the issue. Now im wondering how do I tell my landlord about this.

  5. Well then can you do a video on just what to use? Also what about a small repair instead of having to remove all the existing board? Or is there no way around that?
