@12:22"Sometimes … when you go to these hardware stores you get people who don't know exactly what they're talking about…." LOL. I'm no pro, but I suppose the shielded coupling is to prevent accidental nail holes, which you know about 🙂 Eventually the elastomer will perish, shielded or not.

Good video. I’m trying to move my drain pipe over to the right but the vent pipe in directly in the way. My vent pipe is on the right of the drain pipe, yours is the opposite. How can I move around the vent pipe? I can’t find a pvc joint that brings the drain pipe forward?

WHAT is the name of the stud reinforcing bracket? You have said it 10 times, but I cant make out the second word in it's name! It sounds like "Stud Fue" or "Stud Seal" .
I researched it is called a "Stud SHOE"!
Why did you need to cut the drain pipe below the subfloor? I am going to do a job like this and am wondering what you did below the subfloor. Thanks.
