Fx451 if you get the good ground to the piece with the third hand you avoid arc strikes from the table.
Contact tip drilled and tapped be nice too.
They make a rubber based tool dip. I bet a rubber coating would work fine.
Rubber coating for what?

Was the cleaning action so big because u had a gas lense? Refering to the al br deposit on the end of the rod
wrap it in electric tape? lol
pre 1982 copper pennies are 95% copper., would that work?, then the problem with getting the copper to adhere to the steel, perhaps some jb weld would work if it could stand up to temps while welding
Hey there Jody,,,,have been learning to tig weld ,with a huge amount of help from your videos,,,,excellent stuff,,,l was learning on a non brand name DC stick, tig ,which worked ok, but today l christened my new Lincoln 201 AC/DC,,was worth learning on the dc stick tig, because l noticed immediately that the lincoln was a hundred times smoother, watching your videos over and over made me feel very familiar with the controls, nicer welds pretty much straight away,,,,so thanks, still watching, still learning. Regards Warren,,,Australia.
Would silver solder work as well?
Jody, I watch your videos a lot, and when I watched a review of an HTP arc machine I saw what appeared to be the copper third hand that someone sent you, but you can't remember who sent.

If this guy isn't the guy who made it for you, he might know who did.
Thanks for all the awesome videos, too! I'm not a pro, like you, but watching your videos over the years has helped me to be a better TIG welder. As a mechanic, by trade, all the knowledge that I have gleaned from your channel has been incredibly valuable. Keep up the excellent work!
