How to Make a Steel Bicycle Repair Stand – DIY
Here’s another beginners’ welding project video on how to build a steel bike repair stand. For any general bicycle repair, bike cleaning, bike upgrade and for just serve as a strong and sturdy bicycle rack somewhere in your garage or driveway. Custom welded steel bike stands and racks can be light and less bulky compared to commercial and wooden counterparts. Welding your own can be fun and save you money too, also an additional welding practice project.
All GI steel pipes and steel angle bars used are scrap pieces. Welding machine used is a Powerhouse MIG-200 flux-cored gasless MIG welding machine. Also shown the Bosch GCO 220 abrasive cut-off saw in action in cutting the scrap metal to size. Notching the angle bar for pipe is done using the Makita 9556HP angle grinder.
Painted the welded parts with a red oxide metal primer and a black enamel after. Some old car rubber matting is used as rubber cushion on the bike stand.
So happy how the quick project turned out and let me know what do you think about this project. Please comment down in the comment section and please consider SUBSCRIBING. Thank you!
