What if there is no thread on the end? When I took mine off it was just the copper pipe..
my deal did not have a hole.
Informative yet 2 problems…
1. Tape was applied in wrong direction.
2. Not enough tape, should have wrapped threads 3 times on that, especially seeing you had to back off 1/4 turn.
Thanks for sharing. Clean the old one with CLR and switch them out as the valve gums up
