Can I make Shelf Brackets?

For those that have been watching, you know I’m trying to get my workshop in some sort of organized workspace. It’s happening. Slower than I’d like to admit, but it’s happening. One step to making this happen was to build some shelves using Amazon Basics Shelf Brackets. They are actually a pretty good deal, which is why they were probably out of stock. Both 12″ and 16″ versions. At the time I am posting this video the 12″ brackets showed up, but the 16″ are still on backorder with no delivery date in sight.
So with some help from my good friend Greg aka @themakerlife on Instagram, I was able to cut these brackets out on my Langmuir Crossfire Pro the same day and weld them up so I could keep the progress going on the organization project.

I love the welds, they really look clean, the last part of the video shows the final product, and your video shows what it takes to get those results, great job!!
Great project and video, Chad! I wouldn’t have thought to put a mortise and tenon (or whatever the equivalent is called in metal), but it makes a lot of sense both for lining it up and holding it before welding (and probably adds strength too). Is the tool rest / holder you have for your MIG and TIG torch something you made or bought?
