These directions are universal and will work for most brands of dishwashers including Maytag, Whirlpool, Amana, and more. I show you in easy steps how to install your own dishwasher. Whether you are replacing a dishwasher or installing one for the first time, this easy to follow video will be your biggest help in mastering the art of dishwasher installation.

* In this video, I show you how to perform a hardwired installation, however you can easly wire the same electrical wires from the dishwasher to an electrical cord (provided at your local hardware store) using the same technique. Then you simply plug in the appliance to any standard outlet.
The rest of the instalation instructions are universal and can be used for almost any type of dishwasher you may be installing.

  2. I really want to say thank you for this great, easy to follow post! My husband passed away 11/2 years ago and he handled everything. I needed a new dishwasher and really wanted to try to install my new one myself. With the help of my son and daughter, and your video, we were able to install our new dishwasher without paying someone else to do it for us. You may now have realized when you posted this that you would be a blessing to another person, but you were and I am thankful that you took the time to film and post this video.   8. Good, few things, you have to put the drain hose as high SD it will go, beside the sink if possible. You should put a keeper ring around the cutout in the sheet metal cutout, your wires came thru. Lastly, you didn't connect the ground wire. Pretty sure. For granite counters you need to fix the unit to the sides of the cab or glue a piece of wood etc over top. Nice video just talking about what I've learned of doing things according to code.
