  • had a mobile home that had a water heater leak.. replaced chipbard floor with 3/4" plywood

  • Still studying for my expected & known near future! Next refresher lesson: Our mobile home was more rotted than we thought. lol, I know mine will be. It helps to know what I will see before I start pulling places apart. I need to be able to make sound judgments before I start dumping the equivalent of a year or two's living expenses into it. Just in case it is so bad that I might need a backup plan if it turns out to be non salvageable. I absolutely need to make this work. But I have noticed many people in my new area are not living in much better circumstances, though they look well off on the surface of things. People have been very candid & open with me, & I have also been very observant of what I have seen & of how they have problem solved solutions. It is wonderful!

  • You realize , of course, that you're ruining men for Belle. I had a dad who could fix anything (not as meticulous as you , he tended to jerry rig a lot, but that was the way he grew up. But things got fixed) and I thought all men could fix things. Boy, was I surprised when I discovered that wasn't true.

  • Where did you find the new door? My trailer doors are all odd sizes and I have trouble finding reasonable priced right sizes!
