Hey Donnie in your welding try the following for better weld out comes. Chamfer the welding edges. My best example of this is when your metal tubing is length wise next to each other the rounded edge makes a natural valley. Now memic that natural valley to any square to square mating surfaces. Your welds will be neater and deeper and able to sand flat with good adhesion.
You look like the right guy to ask if you need an apprentice, I'm available I wish I had that drive to jump into things, I love welding I never done it, it's hard to take off in California everything is super expensive and is hard to find space to work on, great job mister
When you want a good looking weld that you can see put a piece of metal under ,and go downhill ,top to bottom.
